Meet the Consultant, Ayesha Flaherty
Her Approach.
The quote above defines how Ayesha has viewed marketing and communications throughout her 20+ year career. No matter the industry she was in -- change management consulting, corporate marketing, independent school administration -- her approach has always been to be crystal clear on priorities and goals, and to have a deep understanding of audiences. You will see this philosophy come through when you work together.
Independent School Experience.
Ayesha served as the Head of Enrollment and Communications at The Langley School. During her tenure, enrollment grew steadily, and peaked at historic levels in her last year, due in part to the dynamic marketing and communications strategy, new content marketing initiatives, updated team structure and refined articulation of the academic pedagogy, which all deepened connections between school and family. Her communications expertise extended into broader school-wide initiatives including a capital and endowment campaign, head of school transition, summer camp program, and crisis situations.
Corporate Marketing Experience.
Ayesha worked at The Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner) for 12 years gaining a broad skill set and taking on leadership roles in account management and retention, corporate marketing, and with marketing planning and strategic initiatives. She served as the lead marketer on the company’s newly published book, The Challenger Sale, where she first learned to apply content marketing in order to generate sales leads. She also established the model and structure for the product marketing team in her division that was then rolled out firmwide.
Consulting Experience.
As a consultant for Towers Perrin (a HR consulting firm now called WTW) she was exposed to multiple industries and learned early on the power of communication plans in driving behavior change. A notable client was within the airline industry where they drove employee behavior change in on time departures and customer satisfaction through communication and change strategies.
Thought Leader and Educator.
Ayesha volunteered as a thought leader and educator for admission professionals nationally on the significant impact marketing and communications can have on enrollment. Notable was her multi-year service as a faculty member and advisor at the Enrollment Management Association’s Admission Training Institute where she was part of a select group who helped train, educate and upskill admission professionals.
Education.
With a master’s degree from Northwestern University in Integrated Marketing Communications and a bachelor's degree in marketing and finance from the University of Virginia, messaging, customer-centricity and business outcomes have been foundational beliefs for Ayesha from the beginning. And, the best education of all is being a mom to two school-aged boys (who also attend independent schools). There’s no better daily learning.
